Durban Safari
Today finds us in Durban, South Africa, where we opted to go on an afternoon game drive in Tala Private Game Reserve about an hour and a half's drive from the city.
We had a wonderful time seeing some of Africa's beautiful animals up close -- there were no predators in this reserve, so no lions, cheetahs, or leopards, and also no elephants, but there were black rhino, giraffes, hippos, lots of impala, kudu, nyala, and zebras.
In this collage you can see a trio of photogenic giraffes, a black rhino giving a trio of egrets a lift, a mother hippo with her two-week old baby, and a group of impala with a flock of ox peckers relieving them of their pesky flies.
