Has It Really Been A Week

Toothbrush in mouth my first call of the day came in before 8:00am, the manufacturer of the rugby club boiler was due in to help the gas fitter who fitted it figure out why it’s not working. Earlier than expected with no one there to meet & greet he was off and away, “same time tomorrow but earlier”, that’ll be another early start then.

Only a couple of hours at the rugby club today, bits and pieces completed out of list of essential stuff that needs doing and doing quickly but that neither I nor some of the other older volunteers are capable of doing on their own.

So instead of trying I headed off for lunch with David, the best scrambled eggs I have had for a long time along with a couple of flat whites and a couple of hours with a dear friend.

Mrs S completed our ‘binge watching’ of the TV series Home Fires, based on the book ‘Jambusters’. What a shame they never finished the story.
