Cumbrian humour?
I was instructed to don the traditional Hospital Robe for my Carpal Tunnel Op. No shoes on the operating table, " ˜ ˜ ˜ put these on, you can keep your sock on if you like." She went. Did she mean, put these on and OVER your sock if you like - OR - keep your sock on in lieu of these? A touch unsure.
I noticed they were allegedly XL - BUT - so skimpy I was sure the XL meant they were Cumbrian and "Extremely Lahl".
I may have mentioned that Cumbrian is spelt phonetically? I have seen it written as La'al, Lahl & Larl. Whoever writes it knows that the reader knows that they mean small. I had such a battle donning them over naked feet I felt 100% SURE the "L" meant to indicate "Lahl"
