I expect it was cold in the water.

I rang the Elderly One (we opted not to go today. A difficult decision. Impossible really. I’m too far away to camp there).
I told him everyone sends their love (and I listed the people who do). He tolerated this. And followed it with, ‘well. Please thank them. But I’m not ill’.

So that’s good! He’s a fighter.
