Old Boat House
I was in the mood for cycling today, so headed fairly early for Aberfoyle.
Decided to take on a loop: back roads up past Loch Ard & Loch Chon to Stronachlachar. Then across to the north bank of Loch Katrine, past the steam boats depot, and finally up the Duke's Pass back to Aberfoyle.
Just short of 60km, very hilly in parts. Challenging, but very enjoyable.
I had one of those nature moments on the banks of Katrine: a buzzard, with kill, landed on a boulder about 20 yards from me. I stopped the bike, and off he went. No time to whip out a camera, but I just watched in awe as he flew up the loch, his kill in one claw. Quite beautiful.
Main is an old boat shed on Katrine, extra was a fantastico lunch at Stronachlachar.
My legs will remind me tomorrow about today.
