Friday: Lilac (syringa “Amethyst”)

Some showers early morning but it cleared and was a nice morning and ok for rest of day too! But rain returned at nightfall.

Whilst I was taking today’s Blip photo I saw a bumble bee flying around the hellebores but it didn’t land and flew over the wall :-( 
Later as I was refilling the bird feeders I heard a bumblebee buzzing somewhere nearby but couldn’t work out where it was and I didn’t see it! Very frustrating BUT at least I know that at least one bumblebee has survived Winter in my garden!!

I was tempted to buy the lilac plant yesterday at Lidl because sadly ours died a couple of summers ago and I miss it being in the garden, this was the story https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/1921898 - fingers crossed for this one … it looks healthy and was a bargain at £10 :-)
