Finishing details

Since the beginning of November, when it was erected, we've been waiting for people to come along and finish off this impressive concrete block. Mr A messaged me a photograph earlier in the week suggesting that finishing might be nigh. Not so fast. They've stuck up some scaffolding and surrounded the whole thing with fences, but no sign of people actually doing the job and capping the brickwork off....

A one photo day, as I stayed at home today. I woke up exhausted and decided that I had just about enough energy to stay at home and work remotely and not enough energy to travel in to work and - in particular - to go to a lecture this evening. If I had gone, I wouldn't even be home now, as the lecture was not due to start until 7pm. I hope it gets an audience at 7pm on a Friday night. Exhausted middle managers like me have run out of steam by that time.

A successful day, in the end, working through the to do list, although various other things crawled out of the woodwork that made me less than pleased. I'm looking forward to a fairly restful weekend.
