Dad In Repose.
Today would have been my Dad's 112th birthday, but he left us many years ago, far too young. I scanned this image I have of him from the late '60s or early '70s, and gave him a frame of ebony and holly inlay. It was a family picnic, and my brother, almost certainly, borrowed Dad's Leica II and captured this moment of repose. The attire is fascinating to me. Even for a family outing, there he is in Harris Tweed jacket, crisp trousers with turn-ups, and good shoes. The other Leica, the M2, is firmly around his neck. I will always remember him like this.
