Viking Bay, Broadstairs

Barbara and David, Susan's sister and her husband, are down from Edinburgh visiting for a week staying with Doreen. Today was the first full day so we decided to go down to the Thanet coast, park in Ramsgate and propel Doreen in her wheelchair 2 miles along the coast to Broadstairs. The weather was wonderful, full sun with a cooling breeze.

After lunch deal of sandwiches, crisps and drinks we strolled and heaved the wheelchair around the steep streets of Broadstairs down to the pier where this shop was taken. Broadstairs is really lovely in weather like this, a typical traditional seaside resort set in an enclosing bay.

We called in at Morrelli's Ice Cream parlour in Broadstairs where we had some super ice-cream and Barbara and David shared a Banana Supreme Sundae. I was tempted to post that blip.

At the end of the day Doreen fancied a game of crazy golf. It gave us the opportunity to walk back to Ramsgate without pushing the wheelchair and come back in the car to pick them up from the crazy golf. Doreen won the crazy golf!
