Carisma ont du talent
So we’ve decided to attempt a regular Kid’s Club event, Carisma’s Got Talent…and my my, did the children enjoy it! We were both really surprised at how diverse the “acts” were – from singing to stick spinning, and from a “band” comprising of three boys and their pans as drums to sponge tricks it really was a great show! The afternoon was spent cleaning followed by dinner with one of customers, who had kindly offered to make dinner for us. Now with the cleans comes a rather entertaining tale, which could have been rather embarrassing for the two of us if it hadn’t’ve been for those who heard us. Now to make the time go quicker, we decided (both independently of each other) to start singing. This then turned into singing duets and popular songs, not thinking that anyone else was around…how wrong we were! Part-way through a rather rousing edition of Bohemian Rhapsody we starting hearing background noise, the sound of the original song being played! This then lead to us both leaning out the window to find the next door neighbour customer laughing and playing the backing to the song. This soon turned into a requests section, as we starting singing whatever anyone was asking for in a ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’-style manner!
Anyways, back to the evening. So as soon as we headed out to the customer’s mobile home the heavens opened. Then we were just about to start eating when the work phone rang…someone had ran out of gas, cue gas change. And before I could even turn to Thom and have a chat about who was going to venture out into the pouring rain and away from dinner to deal with said gas change he was out of his seat and heading for the door. What can I say, some people are just awesome. Man points most definitely earned…
