Comparisons

Came across this dead cicada today (not that the weather is anywhere near autumnal) and next to the woofer you get an idea of it's size, although it is a little smaller than yesterday's. Once The Zigster had confirmed he couldn't chase it, play with it or eat it he was happy to model next to it... little poseur!

For an insect they really are pretty big!! The noise they make however is MUCH bigger ;)

If size mattered, the elephant would be king of the jungle.
