Bed

Another joint session at the allotment, D continuing to weed the asparagus and strawberry beds and me finally getting to the end of this little bed that I want to fill with flowers. The squitch grass roots had made a dense layer about 4 inches deep, which made it incredibly hard to dig. Finally found the edging bricks and stones. Met a couple of huge grandfatherly earth worms in the process - they're back in of course. The flowers at the far end are just plants I uncovered amongst the squitch during the process and replanted.

We've started re-watching The Wire off DVD - what a superb series it is in almost every way. Makes me want to visit Baltimore!

Am very much looking forward to a hot bath and then bed.
