Pretty silly on the patio
A bit of a back to front day. For some reason we both felt pretty grim this morning, a late night but I’d only had a glass of wine with my meal and Chris and Alex had a couple of pints so nothing excessive. Not like some of those travelling on the last Friday night train home from Leeds last night! Quite an experience. I heard someone say they’d started drinking at 5.30 as the Peter Kay tickets said 6.00 pm. I must admit I thought that was the time initially but further down the ticket it said show starts 8.00 pm.
A fabulous morning, sunny and warm so I decided to get straight out into the garden and leave my (Saturday treat) bath till later. I’m glad I did I needed that soak. I was removing moss and weeds from the block paving on the kitchen patio. My least favourite garden job. For silly Saturday I’ve posted this pretty primula but why on earth is it growing at the edge of the patio below the wall? There’s not even any sun there! Plants are amazing.
I came in for coffee and then had my bath with an aching back.
It worked well as I also wanted to paint my toenails. So I needed to sit with nothing on my feet. Warm enough for that today with some good 6 Nations rugby to watch though a bit if a shame to be indoors.
Washing out and dry and lots of nice things to see in the garden. Extra - ( the top pink flower is a random cyclamen growing on the edge of the lawn) Put the two photos together now.
I have the satisfaction of knowing I’ve got a head start on the patio but it will need plenty of keeping up to. Have to decide what to do with the other patio which is also block paving. I’ve pulled out a lot of spent Erigeron daisies knowing full well they will be back, there’s lots of seedlings coming up and I think I’m inclined to leave them to it!
Happy International Womens Day!
