Some simple joys are silent. 

This morning at the Forty Foot there was a group of about 10 women friends. They were all deaf and non-verbal. Two of them were seasoned swimmers, the others were doing it for a bit of craic. 
There was much excited signing and trepidation. It was touching to witness. 

Elsewhere in Dublin I'd imagine that other ongoing celebrations are noisier in nature...
