patriarchy in flames

Most shops are closed on public holidays. Usually it is easy to keep track of them since I also don't have to work on public holidays. When they fall on a Saturday it is quite surprising to find the shops are closed. On the plus side we had absolutely no reason not to join the IWD protest. The protest was again absolutely huge, 13000 to 16000 people. It was very colourful. However, we did notice that it was mostly young people (younger than 30) who joined the protest. Not sure what the older people are up to. Anyway, we enjoyed the slow walk through central Berlin. The lovely sunshine helped as well.
