A Quiet Corner

Stratford upon Avon was, as usual for a beautiful Saturday, very busy.  We decided to have a snack lunch before going to the theatre to see Edward II.
A friendly Blipper had recommended Coffee clouds to us and I remembered which little passageway it was in.  It was busy when we first got there but quietened down while we waited for our toast and Mocha (With toasted Marshmallow).  Nice.

We had a very short walk round to the Swan Theatre then  and a brief wait until they opened the doors.  Good seats not too far from the stage so we were able to see and hear well.  Edward II is apparently one of the earliest history plays in English and it covers 20 years in an hour and forty minutes really focussing on how Edward II really let his heart rule his head, having "favourites"  and not being able to control the powerful people around him, including his wife.  Interesting themes developed in a very good production.  Gaveston, his lover, was a particularly impressive presence on stage.

Since getting home, I have made scones and marmalade.  Not sure where that burst of creativity came from!
