A smile through the tears

Charlie's ear infection kicked-in with a vengeance today. I was actually quite scared this morning because he was acting so strangely. He was reacting as if the light was too bright for his eyes and then he would start screaming out of the blue. He calmed, went back to normal and then did it again just as suddenly.

I rang my doctors and eventually one called back and said that the antibiotics dosage Charlie had been on was 'half hearted' and that this was his ear infection just really hurting him. Apparently ear infections get worse before they get better and we probably caught it early in the first instance. He didn't need me to bring Charlie in but suggested Calpol.

Thankfully the Calpol helped, although he only had a very short nap then woke up screaming due to the pain. Heartbreaking :( I kept a very close eye on him for the rest of the day and we missed BWW of course.

None of this made a dent in his appetite though. He had pitta and tuna mayonnaise, with some cheese and carrot sticks for lunch
