Modern living

H and I went over to see Bill and Frances in their new house. It’s on an award winning development in Cambridge, all of the houses and flats are very modern. Theirs has had quite a bit of extra stuff done to it and it’s brilliant, a total contrast to the Guildhall ( the very old house they lived in before).

A short walk into Cambridge as well, I have to say I’d love it if we could afford to move back to Cambridge, sadly even if we got too whack for our house we wouldn’t be able to afford a suitable house in Cambridge. Never mind we’ll just have to slum it here.

We came home and I started the annual ‘ can I get the lawn mower to run ‘ game. It started first turn of the key, then blew a fuse and died.
I got it sorted, although it does need a new fuse box which I’ve ordered. Blew up the tyres and started the cut the grass, and got a puncture. I fixed that and finally managed to get it all cut. Much earlier than most years, I really want to keep on top of it this summer.
