Helping the spring along (2)

As I wrote yesterday this work of clearing the snow and ice is slightly addictive. Yesterday Jan started on clearing the deck. A bit later in the day I went out and shoveled a bit more away. This morning Jan was out there again, moving snow and then the icy layer at the base. Our deck appears...! Soon a place to sit in the sun; already Jan has trained TaiChi out there.
In the immediate future (Sunday/Monday) it will get covered by around 10 cm of new snow but then a few days without precipitation.
Other news is that I was clearing up inside the camper van today, running the engine a little, sweeping out the dead leaves, and putting the beds back in place. (Hence the extra picture.) Next weekend I'm planning on driving down towards Arlanda (Stockholm) airport and sleeping overnight in the van before parking and then meeting Björn before flying off to Andorra for a week's skiing.  This will be the earliest we've used the van in the year and I've packed my fibre-pile suit and arctic sleeping bag to ensure a cosy night! The main road is completely ice free and will remain so until I drive south, so as long as I can negotiate the 4 km between home and the main road I'll be fine. I am optimistic!
