The end of winter
It was another warm and sunny morning, so we thought it was time to get the tortoise house out of the shed, lest Stormin' Norman felt like stirring soon from his hibernation. We set the house down in his enclosure and opened up the "drawbridge" , and within a few minutes he had emerged!
He crawled to the sunniest corner of the enclosure, basked there for a couple of hours, then wandered back to his house and settled into his bed of hay. I think we can say winter is officially over ( at least here in our sheltered Hampshire garden).
This evening we went out for a very good meal with our friend YY, at the Peat Spade inn at Longstock.
