Felt quite smug - up at 6 .40 - showered before Finn woke at 7. Breakfasted the boy and ran his bath. Found he had dirty nappy and went into cupboard opposite bathroom for wipes. BANG - bathroom door shut and bolt fastened!! Lots of frantic instructions shouted but to no avail. Door handle pulled off. A few tentative runs at the door but its solid pitch pine. Husband brought ladder from BBQ and granny scaled it, and not without difficulty got through the top of the window (bottom bit doesn't open). Only when Finn saw me at the window did he begin to cry.

# Finn, ( 23 months), recovered his equanimity quickly and enjoyed a good soak.
# He owes me for a pair of ripped pyjamas.
# Grandad has removed bolt from door so visitors will just have to whistle.
