Wimbledon Common

On our doorstep but haven’t been for months, we avoid it in the winter months as it’s far too muddy and boggy.  I took Ruby for a stroll in the afternoon and the coat I was wearing was not needed.  Queensmere, the pond, is having restoration work done to try and increase the biodiversity of the area.  The pond itself is being desilted and the silt will be used around the banks, a viewing platform, a ramp into the water and natural grasses and wildflowers will be around the pond.  The woodland around the pond has been thinned of trees and scrub too.  Looking forward to seeing it when it has been finished.

In the morning I picked up my new glasses.  Seem ok at the moment, fingers crossed.

A washing, changing bed, lazy kind of day.
