My topsy-turvy life

Getting away with it

Wolves 1 Everton 1
Premier League

"I'd take 1-1", seemed to be the sentiment of the Wolves fans when I went to the toilet at half time. I'm not sure they had the same sentiment at the end of the game. I'd just started to think it was set for 0-0, Beto didn't look like scoring and Wolves didn't look like getting past the back four after all their line holding practice*, when Jack Harrison scored followed by an equaliser less than 10 minutes later.

Wolves were the better team in the second half without actually creating any meaningful chances but Beto should have finished it after a break away. All in all though a draw was probably reasonable for both teams.

Sitting in with the Wolves fans (and Aaron) was interesting and I made sure I sat quietly even though the guy behind us seemed to be watching a different game to us. He was calling for someone to break Pickford's legs one minute and a red card for winning the ball the next.

All of that followed parkrun number 47 and a visit from Mom & Dad for Mom's Christmas present of a manicure at Mirror Mirror. We got her in there and went for coffee, cake, and a chat before a short wander around town in the sun. So, a typical Saturday really.
