The Bedside Lamp
According to Pat we have owned this lamp for at least 40 years. Pat is much better at remembering dates than I am.
The ‘bulb’ eventually started flickering and it ceased to be used.
Today, I took it apart to remove the flickering bulb. This effectively disassembled the complete lamp. The three threaded fixings hold the twelve parts together.
I had found a replacement ‘bulb’ and after a degree of faffing and fiddling I succeeded in reassembling the complete unit.
More surprisingly it actually works and today’s entry proves it.
The two ‘babies’ are sculptures we bought at least 25 years ago from a graduating Sculture Student at Dundee College of Art.
The sculptures are clay and one is textured to represent wood and the other is textured to represent brick.
