Behind You

Sneaky move this which I would like to say had the element of surprise but no surprises here as they had had an ongoing battle for the vole over the last few minutes. 

The barn owl had had the vole in its mouth initially but now clung on to it with just one talon. The kestrel was rapacious in its pursuit of a meal. She wasn't starving as this was the second stolen vole in twenty minutes. One swipe and pull with her left leg and it was all over. The kestrels really know how to work it!
