Canoeing on the Derwent

...but not us! There were only eight on the Ramblers walk today, but what a lovely walk and the weather was fantastic, in fact almost too hot.

It was a local walk linking three Derby parks (Darley, Allestree and Markeaton) and covering areas I know well, as well as some parts of the city I don't know at all. The River Derwent featured heavily, together with Markeaton and Mackworth Brooks. We went underneath the A38 and then over it later, and visited the Roman Well in Well Street near Little Chester. Very interesting!
