Happy Days

I started to attack the ivy-congested hedge yesterday and consequently filled up the garden bin. I also managed to clear some of the overgrown vegetation in the pond.

Today, my neighbour offered his garden bin for yet more cuttings, which I also filled, so the rest will have to stay on the lawn until later this week after the bins have been emptied!  I also cleaned the filter on the pond fountain.

It seems my efforts have been appreciated as I heard a few plops and then espied this happy creature enjoying the afternoon sun.  Sadly, there doesn't appear to be a partner or any spawn, which is rather late in the year for my pond, but I'm ever hopeful!

I'm now shattered!!!!
