Early morning roofscape - Kirkcudbright

This was the view from the dormer window of the  attic room we had in the Kirkcudbright Bay hotel, right in the middle of the town.

Last night's book week event was great fun and the morning the sun was already shining when we left the hotel before 9.00 for our journey home. 

We got back in time to do some outside work including starting a new flowerbed beside where the new piece of lawn has been sown.   Given the forecast, I think I will have to get the  lawn mower up and working during the coming week, though it is also  already very busy  with a  whole lot of other commitments .
