Today's the day  . . . . . . for a birthday party

Another lovely day - so we decided to walk into Kirkcudbright,  where we were going to a prose and poetry reading by Ian Spring and Spike Munro (see extra) at the Station House Cookery School.  Today was the final day of the Kirkcudbright Book Week and theirs was one of the last events.

This was a special day for these two friends because they share a birthday on 9th March - and today, it was their joint 70th.  After a very enjoyable session with them both, including birthday cake at the interval, we adjourned to the Selkirk Arms  for a birthday lunch.

An excellent way to spend a sunny Sunday . . . . . !
