Boston
Got up early and went down to Ferry meadows country park to do the Parkrun. It was a lovely morning and the other runners were very friendly as we were waiting to start. I probably started too far back as it took me a while and a lot of overtaking to get to a comfortable pace. The course was all tarmac and easy to follow. I was 355th out of a field of around 580 runners. When the results came in, I was actually first in my age group and the 80th woman to finish. As it was my first parkrun of 2025, I was pleased with the result.
We showered at the hotel, had breakfast and then headed towards Boston. It was a lovely day and we pottered around the town, stopped for coffee and then sat in a park and people watched until it was time to collect the Tesco groceries.
The house was easy to find in the grounds of the Hall. A wheelbarrow is provided to take your bags to the cottage.
The cottage was cosy and well equipped. We were ready for bed relatively early.
