The tasty Reaper

I made some long overdue soup with what was left of my crop of potatoes from last autumn. I brought them into the house ages ago to avoid them getting freeze damaged in the garage and then forgot. So they were very sprouty and very soft.
But this image is not of potatoes as you can probably tell. These are the remains of a couple of home grown Carolina reaper chili peppers that also went a bit old and soft rather than drying them properly.
I tasted a teeny smidgeon of one before putting it in the soup and it burned the tip of my tongue. But never fear, stick em in the soup and it will be fine.
Once made, the soup was actually OK. A bit spicy but not too much as there must have been a gallon of it to dilute the reaper effect.
