North Berwick

I had a good sleep, and my hip is definitely starting to feel like it is improving- my fingers are well and truly crossed. My friend S picked me up this morning, and we went over to North Berwick. We had a quick beach walk, we’ll as quickly as I can be, then headed round the coast to Drift cafe on the cliff top.

It was already busy, but they squeezed us in. I ordered a fruit scone, and my friend ordered a cake. I had spread my scone, when I realised it was in fact a chocolate scone, they exchanged it for me. We had a good old catch up, as we’ve not seen each other for a couple of months. I was then chauffeured home.

I pottered, hung some washing out, did a bit of housework, and thought about tea. I had a late lunch, and as it was such a nice day, I risked a walk. I was slow, and I am aware of most steps, but it was good to get out on such a lovely spring day, with a few leaves starting to emerge.

I read my book when I got back home, then made tea. TT didn’t appear, so I ate mine. He eventually appeared home, having been at a church event, that I had totally forgotten he was going to. We had a quiet rest of evening, watching a bit of TV.

This is West Bay in North Berwick this morning. When we were here on Sunday, there was no beach to walk on. The extra is the Bass Rock from Drift.
