BROUGHTON STREET'S closed for business - all bar The Phoenix. And no way am I pished enough to think that's a good idea. Whoever called this scruffy-arsed middle-class hole "Edinburgh's East Village" wants a good hard slap. See outside the Festival? There's sod-all going on here at this time of night. Just a bunch of sad old drunks leaving piss-streams and puke all over the cobbles. This is no-man's-land - not quite poncey New Town, not quite dirty old Leith.
