Surrounded by rabid dogs...

... that's what life on social media feels like nowadays.  I try to limit unnecessary confrontation but apparently, MAGAts have found their way even in what I thought were safe spaces (special interest groups dedicated to things like photography, ai, being an expatriate, etc...).

Today, for instance, I complimented someone who posted a protest photo (see extra) in one of my street photography groups. Next thing I know, the poster and I (and anyone who might have liked that photo) were taken on by a rabid band of Trumpers who complained that we hate "their" president (I have to say they are right...), that he's 'in charge so suck it up', that Women's Day has been taken over by trans people, that we are disgusting, and on and on...  I tried to make a logical argument based on First Amendment rights (like freedom of speech and freedom of assembly) but heck, that only applies to them apparently. 

And that kind of behavior is happening more and more frequently online and to some extent in 'real' life as well. I should just ignore it all but I can't.  It's exhausting and it's dispiriting to see just how far down the rabbit hole these people have gone...
