The Barbie Girls won!

Parkrun at Burnham-on-Crouch (Maldon cancelled due to mud and wear and tear of the park).  Today's parkrun felt quite a challenge as so much of it was muddy, however I kept going and was pleased that I did it. Disappointingly G did not complete it.

We returned home for breakfast and later I went out to support our rowers at the RNLI regatta. A good deal of fun, with dressing up and a party atmosphere. An eventful row with the joy of our Barbie Girls winning and the stress of a gentleman rower from the Mersea team receiving CPR in the boat and being towed ashore by the police launch to have the defibrillator used. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his team.

Later this week we had good news. The gentleman is now recovered and sitting up chatting in his hospital bed with his colour back. A lucky man to have the emergency services on hand and a very good outcome.
