Left behind…

...but then fortunately found. This small book of baking recipes was given free to buyers of Be-Ro Flour and when I was a child it was the book my mum and I used all the time for baking. Be-Ro first published their recipe book in 1923 and, remarkably, they still do.
 
When we moved house in late 2020 I thought I’d left it behind (or rather, left it to Oxfam Books) but a couple of years later it turned up in some of our belongings at my son’s home.
 
I think that as a nation we’ve probably left behind some of the recipes too. But that’s okay, the world moves on.
