Leaving Italy behind

With a heavy heart. The nursing home where my mother resides is utterly dreary, there’s no privacy at all and the people on her ward are nearly all confused. But as we have researched all the facilities for the elderly a year ago we know there’s nothing else. Bringing her to the Netherlands after she’s been in Italy for over 53 years would be very hard plus I have no idea wether she would get a place on any waiting list for a caring facility over there. My youngest sister bears all the work and that isn’t very fair either. So it’s all very hard. The picture is the passage through Chiasso once you have crossed the border from Italy to Switzerland.
