On This Day

Lunch with Uncle G.

My sister and I were treated to lunch today by our uncle who kindly came through from Edinburgh to Stirling. Last time we met was in September when he showed us the silverware from North Leith Parish Church which he had bought. He has subsequently written a short booklet about this bowl interspersed with some family history. He sent copies to my sister and me a week or so ago.  I took mine with me today so that he could inscribe it. It's a devil to photograph with lots of shadows and reflective paper. I've scrubbed out his name bottom left as I didn't ask his permission blip it.

Lunch was an extended event;  though we didn't eat much we chatted a lot. We are now recovering from being so sociable with a cup of tea at home.

Apologies again for not paying attention to blip.
