Playa Blanca circuit

We did almost the same first day ride as last time apart from, unfortunately, having to cut the circuit to El Golfo because the road is closed until December.

We would have been in the same spot for lunch had the restaurant been serving - it was still only brunch! Instead, he waved us to the next restaurant along where we fuelled up before the next up and over through the incredible volcanic vineyards. 

We made the excuse of stopping at another cafe by noting the cloud ahead (which had already rained on our road) that we didn’t want to catch up with. 

We togged up for the descent, expecting rain still, but were pleasantly surprised with just the odd spot.

Grand ride!

Took advantage of the cloud to get get sorted ready for a spell of sunshine late afternoon before dinner.

And a game - we were chuffed to win on the second round this time. That’s a first!
