Sunrise

It's lovely waking up to the sun streaming into my bedroom window. I don't have curtains, just shutters than I can close, but rarely do. It's been lovely having more hours of sunlight and, of course, the warmer weather.

Little Man and I had a lovely day. He had nursery this morning and was thrilled to discover that there was a tractor parked outside. The school playgroup renovation is still underway. After persuading Little Man to go into his class, I left him in the safe hands of Netty, his teacher. The morning went quickly, but I was able to get a few things done before I went to collect him.

We had a good afternoon. Caleb popped by, for a coffee and a bit of time with Little Man. Little Man loved being able to investigate his Ompje's car. We talked about our parents' arrival tomorrow morning and touched on the possible plans for the rest of the week, but with the exception of the weekend, these plans are about as vague as they were before Caleb came by.

After Caleb came by, Little Man and I ended up just relaxing a bit. We had dinner, pizza, as per Little Man's choice. I've taken to letting Little Man choose what he wants, often between what shoes he wants to wear, or what he wants to eat. Tonight he had the choice between eggs on toast or pizza. He wanted pizza.

Then it was a bath and off to bed. Little Man's been pretty tired and a tad grumpy today. I hope he has a good night's sleep as I really want him to be in a good mood when my parents arrive.
