An iconic landscape

Despite having lived in Scotland for most of my life , this view of Stirling castle as you approach Stirling from the motorway never ceases to fill me with awe and wonder.

For the city marks the divide between the industrial central belt and the gateway to the Highlands, a place pivotal in Scottish history and centres around the castle.
