Book Camp out day

The kids could bring sleeping bags and a stuffy. They could wear pajamas or what they would wear if they were hiking. The kids staked their claim in the gym and then listened to a forest ranger read them a story and answer questions. Then they were assigned a buddy and the older read to the younger ones. Those were the hallway pictures. They had s'more making outside and book bingo in one  of the classrooms. Or they could just lounge in the gym and read on their own. There was also bookmark making. All that in 2 hours. It was a lot of fun.
This afternoon we celebrated Jan's birthday. She is the partner of my friend Steve who passed away. It was a very nice gathering.
