Calm

Strangely this is the only photo I took today.
A broken night’s sleep didn’t prevent me from feeling blessed as I absorbed the beauty of nature in my surroundings. More songbirds arriving and the fresh air and for me signalling and watching new beginnings emerge from the darkness of the long nights. Energised by these sounds and sights a positive day lay ahead with Dippy’s companionship.
Dippy is eleven months old and we celebrate by sharing some really tasty sausages and a camomile tea at our favourite place in town.
A trip to the Westward Ho for some more fresh air and to look for a suitable wetsuit was next on the agenda.
A very slight easterly wind becalmed the Atlantic Ocean and a quiet peacefulness seemed to slow everything down (apart from some motorists) allowing for some compassionate conversations with people some of who were experiencing similar awareness and others who were fascinated by Dippy’s playful and loving nature.
The need for some puppy food at Sainsbury’s was interesting, it was deserted and by all accounts a recent trend towards people generally avoiding shopping unnecessarily.
An interesting phone conversation with a friend and former cycling club mate who last week was ridden into from behind by an 85 year old lady!! Fortunately he survived with slight concussion and serious bruising.
See extra.
