Back in the room !

Will update later as I have just realised that I am going to have to catch an earlier train! 

I write these in the morning after normally and because the trains were so disastrous last night (ie tonight) travel back in this morning is also not looking good.  

We had the first day of the Writers’ Room for a series.  It was great to be there although the heating wasn’t working so the room was chilly.  But it was a good start and I stepped back into Fitzrovia buoyant and cheerful until I got to Waterloo and realised that ‘emergency services by the track after Guildford’ meant a world of pain. I got the slow train to Guildford and was picked up by Vikram having a fine dinner of an egg sandwich and blueberries.
