Hydrangea

This is what I love about close-up photography - you notice things that you would never normally see. Take this hydrangea flower - I had never noticed that the stamens look like a tiny butterfly that's landed on the petals - so cute!

A rather hot day at work today - someone asked for the air-conditioning to be turned down (admittedly, it was rather over-zealous and we were all a little bit chilly) but it turned out that it could only be turned off. However, after about an hour, I swear the temperature in the room resembled what you'd find in the glasshouses at Kew! We've now asked the powers-that-be to turn it on again, but they haven't done it yet - maybe they're making us suffer for making a fuss. Now I shan't know what to wear tomorrow - bikini or snowsuit?
