Those blue yokes have bloomed
I would say to my husband (the Head Gardener). Oh yes; he would reply…. The such and such and such (the English, Latin and sometimes the Irish name). They are beautiful, we would agree. Yes, I would say, the blue yokes are beautiful. We would both smile. I miss him so much.
Yesterday and today - both bright and sunny. The promises of Spring going forth.
Because the garden is a mess, I advertised looking for someone to come and tidy it up and help me with suggestions of how and what to plant. I got replies from various people. Hm. I think I’ll take my chances alone, thanks.
Extra is a shell-a-muddy on the side of his house and second extra is garden kitsch gargoyle who has gazed upon our garden for decades with a mixture of boredom, wistfulness, reprimand and sanctimoniousness.
I’m so lucky to have a garden - many don’t. And even if it is a mess, it’s a restful and peaceful place. Especially with those blue yokes to admire.
(Can anyone tell me their name - thanks in advance)
