The Day After
Tuesday was an improvement on Monday. Thank goodness. But it was a day of highs and lows, with very little in between.
Lunch was one of the highs. It was just my usual hour in the church cafe but someone has added a bit of zing to the lentil soup. It has made all the difference. Something which was perfectly good, but too bland for my tastes, has become very much better.
Dinner was another. I had leftover rice to use up, so prawn fried rice is what I came up with. It hit the spot.
Tomorrow's breakfast was too. I have not eaten it, but the mango which I bought this afternoon to add to my overnight oats has turned out to be wonderful. One half went into the breakfast and the other went down my neck.
I had some fun in the Office, but as is the case so often, it is not available for public disclosure. The innocent must be protected.
One of the bits in the middle was the return of the Asda plastic flowers in the church cafe. They got Blipped, forlorn and dismal.
