Stubble Field

After a few days of very ‘busy’ pictures, I thought I should seek out something simple and uncluttered, and was lucky enough to find this lovely field. The harvest is safely gathered in and now the stubble is standing golden in neat serried ranks, proudly claiming its part in the annual cycle. We should enjoy this glorious sight while we can, for soon its beauty will be dulled by the weather until finally the field is ploughed up, ready to renew the cycle.
