Digging It
With no ice or snow to photograph, I felt at a loss today. It's a transition phase. Spring hasn't really got going yet and nothing is growing. A few birds about, notably blackbirds. Although I saw mergansers out on the lake, they flew off as soon as I broke cover. Plenty of dried reeds though, which have accumulated in a few spots, driven by the wind.
Too far out for me to reach, I would have needed wellies, I left this vital piece of equipment for another day.
