Wind and heavy rain....

....totally bent my one and only glady so it's now sitting on the fireplace gracing us with its beautiful soft shades.

It's a special one, given to me 17 yrs ago and hasn't flowered for 15 yrs. I thought I'd lost it but this year for whatever reason it popped up in exactly the same spot it was planted and has given us 12 flowers on one single stem, I've been very excited watching it grow.

No sun today, strong wind and heavy showers, a mere 14C. I clipped the clematis to tidy it up, pleasant working under the shelter of the veranda.

Lunch out and groceries with mum and E, lovely to catch up with them both.
